When I first started this journey, my primary focus was weight loss. About 4 – 5 days in to my challenge, I quickly realized this was much, much, more. It became personal and I understood this was a total transformation of mind, body, and spirit.As a single mom with two young children and a full time job, I was constantly overwhelmed and exhausted. I struggled daily to find the energy required to keep up with simple tasks. I was tired of my daily battle with food, sweets in particular. I felt powerless to my cravings and disappointed that every evening I was once again telling myself “I’ll start my diet tomorrow”. It never happened. I was sinking fast – my weight kept creeping up and my feelings of despair intensified.
