Kickstart 2023: Setting Simple Goals for a Fresh Start New Year

The start of a new year is a great time to reflect on the past and set objectives for the future. Whether your goal is to save money, learn something new, make a career change, get fit and healthy, or lose weight setting simple goals can help you achieve your big dreams in 2023.

3. Set deadlines. Attaching a timeline to your goals can help you stay motivated and accountable as you work towards them. You can choose to do weekly, monthly or quarterly goals. It depends on what keeps you motivated and on track. However you choose to do this is up to you.

4. Be sure to track your progress. Tracking your progress is essential to understanding where you are about your goal and if any adjustments need to be made. It isn’t easy to see the end result if we are not tracking. You can see what you need to adjust along the way as you are tracking. There may be things working very well, and there may be things that are not and taking the time to look at our progress can help us see what might need to change to achieve the goal.

5. Celebrate your successes! When you hit each milestone, take the time to celebrate and reflect on how far you’ve come and all you’ve accomplished. This will motivate you to continue toward achieving your bigger dreams for 2023, and you will know when it is time to set the next goal in motion.

6. Find accountability partners. Having another person or group to keep you accountable and motivated can be incredibly helpful when working towards a goal. Think about people in your life who are also working on similar goals or have achieved something they set their minds to. Ask them for support, even if it’s just online through virtual check-ins. There may be someone who has already achieved what you want, and those people in your corner can push you to the finish line.

With these tips, plus a lot of hard work and determination, you’ll reach all your goals by the end of the year!
